“You got it!” Linda says when laying eyes upon what, as you all know by now, has been my life’s work. It has taken me exactly 10 years to collect all of the exact pieces together that Linda has worn over 32 years ago in 1991, being the first in the world to do so!
For something that started off as an innocent teenage obsession over the most recognisable Chanel campaign photograph of all time, I would have never dreamt of it catapulting my career to what it is now, let alone dreaming of even completing the project, let alone of even getting to speak about my passion with Ms. Evangelista herself one day!
If you are curious; Linda told me the history of how this photograph came to be on a Monaco morning, how Karl Lagerfeld didn’t intend for the jewellery to all be worn at the same time originally and how it was shot over Easter! Moreover; @carlynecerfdedudzeele, who was the stylist of this iconic photo and who I have admired for decades, dubbed my completion of her work ‘trop mignon’!
They say never meet your heroes; but I am over the moon happy I did! Thank you @lindaevangelista for your genuine interest, personal conversation, warmth and adoration. You are the reason I get to have the career that I have and you are SO loved by many!
